Self Training Guides

Our Self-Training guide includes a Training Manual that details the steps of the selling process such as: Introductions, Qualifying, Presentation, Handling Objections, Closing, and Effective Follow-up. There are also written exercises to help the participant apply what they have learned. Modules are supported with Audios on CD of real-life situations, illustrating the selling skills reviewed. Participants can actually listen to individuals using excellent selling skills, which facilitates the learning process. Modules are then recapped with a Self-Quiz.

The Sales Process Guide also has modules on Knowing your Product and Competition, as well as Post Call Follow-up and Motivation Through Goal Setting. These Guides are a great first step for new staff, as well as an ideal refresher for seasoned employees. The guides can also help prepare your team for participation in our Quality Assurance Shopping Programs.

The use of Self Training Guides is a cost-effective means to provide additional support and training to your team ensuring that they have the tools at hand to sell effectively and successfully.
The Self Training Guide is more than just a training manual. It also includes the Mouse Pad, the Screen Tips and the Sample Calls on CD, as part of the package.

Mouse Pads

Once trained, the next step is to actively, and consistently, use the skills learned. The Instructional Mouse Pad is another cost-effective means of providing a visual training tool to your team. The Pad features the steps of the Selling Process and serves as a reminder to consistently use good selling skills. There is a mouse pad geared toward Sales & Catering and one geared toward Reservations.

Screen Tips

Your team may know what the proper selling skills are. However, are they using them? Our Screen Tips (pictured above) recap the basic steps of the sales process and fit conveniently around your computer monitor. They serve as a constant reminder to use good selling skills with your customers. They are also an excellent resource for employees participating in our Quality Assurance Shopping Program. There is space to customize the Screen Tip by writing in your hotel’s individual benefits. This helps ensure that your team is actively selling your hotel's unique features. We offer a Sales & Catering version and a Reservations version. For a small set-up fee, we can customize the screen tips to meet the individual needs of your hotel.

Sample Calls on CD

Our Sample Call CD's are available in versions for Sales & Catering or for Reservations. These CD’s provide real-life examples of hotels utilizing good selling skills when handling all kinds of inquiries.
